Airman Larry

When I was going through training in the fabled Vincent Hall at Ft. Gordon, Georgia, we were shown a video referred to as “Airman Larry.”  The actual title seems to be “Electrical Trauma.”

It’s not all that gruesome compared to a lot of stuff I’ve seen in movies, but the difference is that this is real.  The airman really lost both arms.  The video shows actual cooked muscle tissue through the holes burned and cut through his skin.

It’s not for the faint of heart, and it’s not for the weak of stomach.  However, it’s an effective training aid if you need to convince someone of the importance of electrical safety.

Therefore, I’ve tossed it up on The Pirate Bay for the world to download, if the world so chooses.

Here’s the description that I posted on TPB:

WARNING: This video contains graphical depiction of major electrical trauma treatment.

This video graphically depicts treatment of electrical trauma following an estimated 70kV electrical burn. The airman lost both arms during the treatment.

While in the Army, we were shown the video as an electrical safety training aid. The video was referred to as the “Airman Larry” video.

The quality of the video is quite low, as it is clearly converted from a much older format.

WARNING: This video contains graphical depiction of major electrical trauma treatment.
