I’ve been lamenting the lack of quality in recent games for the last couple of weeks. I keep coming back, in my head, to Planescape: Torment, the best game I’ve ever played.<\/p>\n

I realized that I don’t need to pine for it. I can play it.<\/p>\n

So I just installed it, and even before I start it for the first time, I’ve done all the little things to make the experience more pleasant. I’ve copied all the files from each of the CDs to the install directory and redirected the game’s config file to look there. I’ve official patched, unofficial patched and addon-to-unofficial patched. I didn’t turn Annah into a leprechaun yet, but I’ve got the files necessary to do so and I’m reserving the right.<\/p>\n

I’ve dimmed the lights. I’ve consumed enough caffiene to stun a water buffalo.<\/p>\n

I’m ready to become… Nameless.<\/p>\n

So I couldn’t sleep, and rather than play Torment like I did all day yesterday and stay awake, I looked into the voice actors behind the characters<\/a>. Unfortunately, this turned out to also keep me awake, rather than put me to sleep as intended:<\/p>\n

Nameless <\/strong>is Michael T. Weiss<\/u> aka <\/em>Jarod from The Pretender<\/p>\n

Morte <\/strong>is Rob Paulsen<\/u> aka <\/em>Arthur (from The Tick) aka <\/em>Pinky (of Pinky and the Brain)<\/p>\n

Deionarra\/Fall-from-Grace<\/strong> is Jennifer Hale<\/u> aka <\/em>Bastila (from KoTOR) aka <\/em>Samus Aran (of Metroid fame)<\/p>\n

Annah <\/strong>is Sheena Easton<\/u> (the singer)<\/p>\n

Dak’kon<\/strong> is Mitch Pileggi<\/u> aka <\/em>Colonel Steven Caldwell (from Stargate: Atlantis)<\/p>\n

Ignus <\/strong>is Charles Adler<\/u> aka <\/em>Harold (the Fallout 1&2 mutant)<\/p>\n

Nordom <\/strong>is Dan Castellaneta<\/u> aka <\/em>The Robot Devil (from Futurama) aka <\/em>Homer Simpson<\/p>\n

Ravel Puzzlewell<\/strong> is Flo Di Re<\/u> aka <\/em>the Arroyo village elder (in Fallout 2)<\/p>\n

The Transcendent One<\/strong> is (was) Tony Jay<\/u> aka <\/em>Chairface Chippendale (from The Tick) aka <\/em>the narrator of WoW<\/p>\n

Trias <\/strong>is John de Lancie<\/u> aka <\/em>Q (from Star Trek)<\/p>\n

Vhailor <\/strong>is Keith David<\/u> aka <\/em>the Arbiter (from Halo) aka, unfortunately, <\/em>SGT Kilgore (from Delta Farce)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
